B05 - Overhauser DNP enhanced benchtop NMR spectroscopy for pro-cess monitoring
The aim of the project is to boost the sensitivity of benchtop NMR experiments of liquid samples by signal enhancement provided by ODNP. In this way time-resolved measurements of components at very low concentrations or in small geometries such as microcapillaries become possible and can be used for process engineering applications. ODNP happens on very short timescales, making this technique ideal for continuous hyperpolarization of fast-flowing liquids, where standard NMR meas-urements are not possible. The improvement of flow-NMR in the compact magnet designs targeted by HyPERiON is thus another aim of this project.
