Girls' Day 2024

On 26th of April 2024 KIT organized a Girls' Day. The event was open for girls in 5th grade or older and it gives them the opportunity to gain insights into professional fields where women are underrepresented. This year HyPERiON participated in the Girls' Day and hosted a group of eleven girls.

The one-day workshop with the topic „Microchips for Modern Medicin“ was organized by IMT and IHE with the support of the HyPERiON doctoral researchers Selina Eckel and Chun Him Lee. The eleven girls built a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) detector for which they wound a coil and soldered different components onto a printed circuit board. The girls brought different fruits and vegetables, which we analysed with MRI images.
