A03 - Solid-state ultra-wideband transceivers for enhanced magnetic resonance spectroscopy

Project A03 investigates hardware approaches to enable broadband spectroscopy with the potential to deliver detailed information about a paramagnetic sample at different frequencies, allowing a more complete and more unambiguous picture of the sample structure. With an improved resolution, agility, and portability, we envision to make the developed hardware available to the CRC and gen-eral research community. To develop such a spectrometer from 1 to 100 GHz, we propose a trans-mission-spectroscopy in combination with an interferometric, differential measurement setup for which novel broadband system components will be developed.
